What does "Background Checked" mean?

Before teaching any student, every teacher's identity, qualifications and criminal record history are checked in the country where they live. Our teachers are not UK based, so this is an equivalent local check rather than a UK DBS certificate. Lessons also follow our published safeguarding policy, and parents are welcome to sit in.
